Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information Stack AI (“we”, “us”) collects through the Stack AI website, web app and iOS and Android apps (the “Service”), how we use and share it, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights you have.

The short version

• We collect what we need to run your account and the tools you use, and nothing else.
• We don’t sell your data, don’t share it for advertising, and don’t track you across other companies’ apps or websites. There are no advertising SDKs in Stack AI.
• Your videos are transcribed and edited on our own servers. We don’t send them to outside AI companies and don’t use them to train AI models.
• If you connect Instagram or TikTok, we only post what you schedule and only send the replies you set up.
• You can delete your account and data inside the app at any time.

1. What we collect

We don’t collect precise or coarse location, contacts, health or fitness data, browsing history outside Stack AI, or sensitive information such as race, religion or sexual orientation.

Where it comes from. Most of it you give us directly. Some comes from the services you choose to use with Stack AI: Meta and TikTok (if you connect an Instagram or TikTok account), Google (if you connect Google Calendar), Stripe, the Apple App Store or Google Play (subscription and payment status, never your full card number), and the person who referred you, if any.

2. Device permissions (mobile apps)

The apps ask only for what a feature needs, and only when you use it:

• Photos and media library: to pick the videos and music you want to edit.
• Camera and microphone: only if you record a video inside the app.
• Notifications: optional reminders for film sessions and posting times.

You can turn any of these off in your device settings. The rest of the app keeps working.

3. How we use it

• To provide the Service: plan film sessions and posting slots, sync your calendar, transcribe, cut, caption and render your videos, track campaigns and estimate earnings.
• To run Autopilot when you turn it on: publish your scheduled videos to your connected accounts, and reply to comments and messages that match your rules.
• To run subscriptions: trials, renewals, failed payments, refunds and cancellations, and plan limits.
• To run the affiliate program: attribute referrals, calculate and pay commissions, and prevent fraud.
• To communicate with you: service and billing notices, security alerts and replies to your requests. Marketing emails only with your consent where required, with an unsubscribe link in every one.
• To keep the Service secure, fix problems and improve it, using aggregated or de-identified data where we can.
• To comply with the law and enforce our Terms.

4. Who we share it with

• Service providers who process data for us under contract and only on our instructions: app and database hosting (Render), file storage (Cloudflare), email delivery, error monitoring, and payment processing (Stripe).
• Meta and TikTok, when you connect an Instagram or TikTok account, to publish the videos you schedule and send the replies and messages you set up. What you post is then public on that platform under its own policies.
• Apple or Google, when you subscribe through the App Store or Google Play, to process that purchase.
• Google, when you connect Google Calendar, to create and update the events Stack AI manages on your calendar.
• Your referrer, in the affiliate program: they see that a referral signed up or paid and the commission amount, never your email, content or payment details.
• Legal and safety: when the law requires it, or to protect the rights, safety and security of our users, the public or Stack AI.
• Business transfers: if Stack AI is merged or acquired, under this policy, with notice to you.

We don’t sell personal information and don’t “share” it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

5. Google user data

Stack AI’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

• We request only the calendar.events permission, used solely to create, update and delete the film, edit, posting and reminder events Stack AI schedules for you. We don’t read, analyze or store your other calendar events.
• Your Google token is encrypted at rest and used only to keep those events in sync.
• We don’t use Google user data for advertising, don’t sell it, don’t use it to train AI models, and don’t let people read it unless you ask us to, it’s needed for security, or the law requires it.
• Disconnect any time in Schedule > Google Calendar, or at myaccount.google.com/permissions. We revoke and delete the token right away. Events already on your calendar stay there until you remove them.

6. Instagram and TikTok data

• We ask only for the permissions Autopilot needs: your basic profile, publishing content, reading and replying to comments, and sending messages. We use them only for what you set up in Stack AI.
• Your access token is encrypted at rest. We don’t sell this data, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models.
• Comments and messages from other people are processed only to check them against your rules and send your reply. For each one we handle, we keep the sender’s username and ID, what they wrote and what was sent back, so you can see your activity and nobody gets the same reply twice. That record is deleted when you disconnect the account or delete yours.
• Disconnect any time in Settings > Connected accounts, or remove Stack AI in Instagram (Settings > Apps and websites) or TikTok (Settings > Security > Manage app permissions). We delete the connection, its token, scheduled posts, rules and activity. When Meta tells us you removed the app or asked for your data to be deleted, we do the same automatically.

8. Deleting your data

Delete your account inside the app at any time: Settings > Account > Delete account. That permanently deletes your account and everything in it. Prefer not to use the app? See our Data deletion page for other ways and exactly what’s removed.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or get a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict some processing, and to withdraw consent. Most of this you can do in the app. For anything else, email support@joinstack.co. We’ll verify it’s you and respond within the time the law requires (generally 30 days in the EU and UK, 45 days in the US). We won’t treat you differently for using your rights.

• California and other US states: in the past 12 months we collected the categories in section 1, for the purposes in section 3. We don’t sell or share personal information for advertising, and we honor Global Privacy Control signals. You can use an authorized agent, and you can appeal a decision by replying to our response.
• EEA, UK and Switzerland: we rely on contract (running the Service and billing), legitimate interests (security, improvement, fraud prevention, and handling comments and messages for the account owner), consent (Google Calendar, Instagram, TikTok, optional marketing) and legal obligation. You can complain to your local data protection authority.

10. Security

We use encryption in transit, hashed passwords, encrypted third-party tokens, access controls and logging. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your information, we’ll notify you and the authorities as the law requires.

11. International transfers

We’re based in the United States and process data there and wherever our providers operate. Where required, transfers from the EEA, UK or Switzerland use Standard Contractual Clauses or another lawful mechanism.

12. Children

Stack AI is for adults. You must be 18 or older to use it. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA and UK). If you think a child has given us information, email support@joinstack.co and we’ll delete it.

13. Optional services

Stack AI is a software tool. If we add optional services later, such as agency, management or campaign services, we’ll explain what information they use and who it’s shared with before you join, and your data is only used for them if you sign up.

14. Changes

If we make a material change we’ll tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect, and update the date above.
